Terms of use
These terms cover your use of Shifts by Taelyos, the app and its service. By creating an account or trying the demo, you accept them.
In short
- Shifts helps you sort and organise shift offers. It never applies for you and sends nothing in your name.
- It isn't an employment agency: it doesn't act for you or for any employer, and no employer pays it to place you.
- Its numbers (travel, wake-up time, pay) are estimates: always check the listing.
- Free during the beta. A subscription may come later, sold by Apple, and never without your choice.
- Your consumer rights stay fully in place.
1. Who we are
Shifts is published by Gaétan Forestier, a sole trader based in Australia, publishing under the Taelyos brand (ABN 64 731 055 865). Full contact details are in the legal notice. Here, "we" means the publisher, and "you" means the person using Shifts.
2. What Shifts does
- It gathers the shift offers you bring to it: listings shared from WhatsApp, Mail or Safari, screenshots, and job alerts (Seek, Indeed, Jora…) you forward to your Shifts address.
- It turns each one into a card: pay, hours, travel time from your starting point, wake-up time, required outfit compared with your wardrobe, documents asked for.
- It puts offers on a schedule that starts today and tells you when new ones arrive.
- It drafts a reply that you read and send yourself.
3. What Shifts doesn't do
- It doesn't apply for you and doesn't send any message in your name. "Reply" opens WhatsApp or your mail app with a ready message: you decide whether to send it.
- It doesn't sign in to any of your accounts (WhatsApp, Seek, Indeed or any other) and doesn't automate any platform.
- It isn't an employment agency or a placement service. Shifts doesn't act on anyone's behalf, doesn't put you forward to employers, and isn't paid by any employer to place you.
- It isn't your employer. A shift is agreed between you and the employer or agency offering it.
- It doesn't check listings: not the advertiser's reliability, not minimum pay, not working conditions. If you have doubts about pay or a contract, the Fair Work Ombudsman gives free advice (fairwork.gov.au).
- Shifts isn't affiliated with any platform or company named in the app. Their names and trade marks belong to their owners.
4. Your account
- You sign in with your Apple Account. You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person. Tell us if you think someone else is using yours.
- The demo creates an account filled with made-up data, erased after 24 hours.
- You can delete your account whenever you like: see Delete your account.
5. What you share
- What you put into Shifts (listings, screenshots, settings) stays yours. You only allow us to process it to run the service, as described in the privacy policy.
- Share job listings, nothing else: no unrelated private conversations, no identity documents.
- A listing often includes the advertiser's first name and number. Shifts keeps them for you alone and never shows them to other users.
6. Fair use
You agree not to use Shifts to harass advertisers or message them in bulk, not to try to access other people's data, not to disrupt the service, not to extract its content in bulk and not to resell it. If an account does this, we may suspend or close it, after warning you unless it's urgent.
7. Information in the app
- Travel times, wake-up times, take-home pay, outfit checks: these are estimates, worked out from the listing, your settings and services such as Transport for NSW. They can be wrong. The original listing is always shown: check it.
- AI reading of listings can make mistakes. When a detail is missing, Shifts says "not found" instead of guessing.
- Shifts doesn't guarantee that an offer is still available, that you'll get the shift or that you'll be paid: that's up to the employer.
8. Price
- Shifts is free during the beta.
- Later, a paid subscription may be added. It will be sold by Apple through the App Store: the price, length and what's included will be shown before you buy. It will renew automatically until you cancel it in your Apple Account settings. Apple takes the payment and handles refunds under its own rules.
- The subscription will pay for app features (alerts, calculations, planning), never for a job placement. Seeing offers will stay free.
- Before the beta ends, the app will let you know. Nobody moves to a paid plan without choosing to.
9. A beta service
- Shifts is in beta: features may change, be missing or break. We do our best to keep it working, but we can't promise it always will.
- If we shut Shifts down, we'll tell you at least 30 days ahead, and you can get a copy of your data.
10. Your consumer rights and our liability
- Nothing in these terms excludes, limits or changes the guarantees you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or the mandatory protections of the country where you live.
- We are responsible for our own faults, as the law provides.
- To the extent the law allows, we aren't responsible for what employers, agencies, platforms or advertisers do, or for a shift that is lost, refused or underpaid.
11. Ending
- You can stop whenever you like by deleting your account.
- We may close an account that breaks these terms (section 6).
12. Changes
If we change these terms in an important way, the app tells you at least 30 days ahead. If you don't agree, you can delete your account before that date.
13. Governing law and disputes
- These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and disputes go to its courts.
- If you live in the European Union, you keep the mandatory protections of your country and can also go to its courts.
- Before any dispute, write to us: we'll try to sort it out together first.
14. App Store
The licence for the app downloaded from the App Store is Apple's standard licence (EULA). These terms add to it for the service. Apple isn't a party to these terms and isn't responsible for the service or its support.
